Rooms Opening in November in Dandelion Village

news article posted on September 24, 2014

We’re still looking for people to fill some rooms in the village. We’re looking for people interested in sustainable living, organic farming, permaculture, cooperatives and community to join the village and help grow it in to something we can all be proud of.

Over the course of the next year or so we’ll be working to buy the house we currently rent, build systems to maintain and grow our 3 year old food forest and build numerous more organic garden beds. Building a swimming pond and or multiple new greenhouses would be a bonus.

We have a couple of rooms that will be opening on November 1st, so we’re looking for at least two new members to join the village.

All members are required to sign a 6 month lease, attend two workdays and meetings each month on the 1st and 3rd Sunday of the month and pay $50 in dues in addition to rent every month.

In return, members gain access to the food forest, gardens, existing greenhouse, and tools. As well as a say in how dues are spent, what to focus on building and how to go about building it.

Rents range from $140/month for the smallest room to $250/month for the largest.

To apply for one of the spots, send an email to .(JavaScript must be enabled to view this email address) and tell us about yourself. Why are you interested in the village? What excites you most about village living? Do you have any skills you could contribute to the village? After that we’ll set up a time when you can meet with current villagers and tour the village.
